How Rental Availability Works in Kasura
Keeping track of available vehicles or accommodation units should not mean maintaining two different calendars. Kasura determines rental availability from the bookings already recorded for each asset. This keeps availability connected to your actual reservations and gives your team a clearer way to check whether an asset is available for the requested dates.
What problem this solves
When availability is managed separately from bookings, your team has to keep both records up to date. A reservation might be entered in one place while the availability calendar still shows something different. Kasura avoids that extra internal calendar by using recorded bookings as the basis for availability checks, reducing the need to maintain the same rental dates twice.
Why the alternative is insufficient
An external booking platform may have its own availability records, which cannot currently be synchronized with Kasura through a channel manager. Kasura focuses on keeping availability consistent with bookings recorded inside the relevant workspace. If your business also accepts reservations through external platforms, those reservations need to be reflected in Kasura separately.
How Kasura handles it
When your team checks whether a vehicle or accommodation unit is available, Kasura looks at the existing bookings for that asset and the requested rental period. Availability is calculated from those booking records rather than from a second, manually maintained blocking calendar. This helps your team work from the reservations already recorded in Kasura instead of updating availability in two separate places.
What this does not mean
Booking-based availability does not guarantee that double bookings can never occur. It also does not mean Kasura automatically synchronizes reservations with external booking platforms or provides OTA channel management. Availability reflects the relevant bookings recorded in Kasura, so reservations made elsewhere must also be accounted for in your rental operations.
