Why Operational Boards Exist
Operational boards exist because a calendar answers when something is booked, while a board answers what has to happen today and in what state it currently is.
What problem this solves
Deriving today's actual work queue from a calendar timeline requires filtering by date and mentally regrouping the result by task type — work that a dedicated operations board removes by presenting that grouping directly.
Why the alternative is insufficient
Offering only a calendar, without a dedicated execution-focused view, is a step back for daily operations compared to the task-organized boards rental teams have traditionally used, even though the specific extent of that traditional usage pattern is not independently researched here.

What this does not mean
